Faerieland is a reminder of a world in which we all once lived.  Where we connected to the Earth itself and could acknowledge it’s spiritual manifestations.  There we recognized the souls of trees and rocks and rivers, and had a direct relationship with the Faeries.  For they are the spiritual personification of the hidden aspects of the worlds workings.  The Fae are the spirits of our landscapes.  They are here to remind us of our emotional  and physical connection to the Earth.  They are the keepers of Nature’s wisdom…

Where then is Faerieland? It’s position is sly and elusive.  It’s sometimes just over the horizon and sometimes right beneath our feet.  It can reveal itself bright as day-glittering without warning; and disappear just as suddenly.  In the faint of twilight it can appear straight from the mist, and in an instant conceal itself once again.

Faerieland is the place that holds all the magic of childhood, and should be revered as a most sacred space.  Open your eyes to all that can be, and find yourself in the home of the Faerie…

A Fairy Song by Percy French

Stay, silver ray,
Till the airy way we wing
To the shade of the glade
Where the fairies dance and sing:
The mortals are asleep –
They can never understand
That night brings delight,
It is day in Fairyland

Float, golden note,
From the lute strings all in tune,
Climb, quiv’ring chime,
Up the moonbeams to the moon.
There is music on the river,
There is music on the strand,
Night brings delight,
It is day in Fairyland.

Sing while we swing
From the bluebell’s lofty crest.
Hey! Come and play,
Sleepy songbirds in your nest;
The glow-worm lamps are lit,
Come and join our Elfin band,
Night brings delight,
It is day in Fairyland.’

Roam thro’ the home
Where the little children sleep,
Light in our flight
Where the curly ringlets peep.
Some shining eyes may see us,
But the babies understand,
Night brings delight,It is day in Fairyland.
